45 lakh SIR cases in Bengal to face judicial scrutiny

Judicial officers will scrutinize nearly 45 lakh "logical discrepancy" and "unmapped" cases following a Supreme Court directive. West Bengal's Chief Electoral Officer has requested District and Additional District Judges for each constituency to expedite disposal, ensuring no genuine voter is deleted. Additionally, 480 companies of central armed police forces will be deployed in phases for the upcoming Assembly elections.
