In a first, NAL to partner with private co for making long-range drones

India is set to develop advanced long-range drones and loitering munitions. These systems will be powered by indigenous Wankel engines. This initiative aims to reduce reliance on foreign suppliers. The first project involves a 150kg class loitering munition named 'Loitering Munition-UAV'. It will have a range of 900kms and an endurance of nine hours.
