SC seeks police reply to Hussain plea demanding interim bail for campaigning during Delhi polls

The Supreme Court has asked Delhi Police to justify why former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain should not be granted interim bail to campaign for the Delhi assembly polls. Despite Hussain receiving bail in nine similar cases related to the 2020 Delhi riots, his bail in a specific murder case was denied, leading him to seek intervention from the Supreme Court.
