A 72-hour shutdown in Katra will start Wednesday. Pony wallas, shopkeepers, and others are protesting the proposed ropeway project. The Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Sangarsh Samiti announced the strike. The ropeway project aims to help senior citizens and others reach the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine more easily. The administration seeks more time to discuss the issue.
