Any manipulation via nominated members will raise doubts

The recent assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the first since its status change in 2019, resulted in a clear majority for NC and Congress, who won 48 seats. BJP won 29 seats but failed to make significant inroads in the valley. Voter turnout in the valley was high, and there was no separatist call for boycott or violence.
