West Bengal Guv questions Mamata Banerjee's review panel on new criminal laws amidst brewing tensions

West Bengal's Governor, CV Ananda Bose, has called on state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to provide an immediate report on the objectives of a seven-member panel to review three new criminal laws. The panel, led by a retired judge of the Calcutta High Court, will review the new criminal laws and suggest state-specific amendments. The Trinamool government is expected to move two resolutions on alleged irregularities in NEET and the "hurried" implementation of the new criminal laws.
