This comes after several Southeast Asian nations, including Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia, protested China's new map which focuses on the South China Sea region. Modi is also expected to highlight India's commitment to freedom of navigation in the South China Sea and its agenda for the global south.
