Ordinance bill to come up in Monsoon Session, Govt numbers add up
The bill to replace ordinance is likely to be introduced in Parliament during the upcoming monsoon session by the government and is expected to go for voting in the Rajya Sabha, where, unlike the Lok Sabha, the ruling BJP lacks a majority. As per the latest data on the Rajya Sabha website, despite the Congress extending its support AAP, the bill is likely to get passed with both fence-sitters - YSR Congress and BJD - playing a crucial role. BJP is the single largest party in the Rajya Sabha with 92 members and the combined strength of NDA is 104.
