Boost for NDA in Eastern UP as Om Prakash Rajbhar of SBSP returns to BJP fold

Rajbhar's re-entry into the NDA is set to significantly boost NDA's prospects in Purvanchal or eastern UP for the 2024 polls in which may also offset any likely losses in western UP where the NDA did not perform as well in the 2019 elections with BSP-SP alliance (mostly BSP) scooping up seats owing to the Muslim-Dalit combination working in its favour.
