Congress regime to align Karnataka's school textbooks with its election promise, set to drop portions added by BJP government

The new government is in the process of identifying the parts in school textbooks in Kannada and Social Studies subjects. Since textbooks have already been distributed to students, the education department has decided to distribute booklets to teachers and students highlighting portions that no longer form part of the syllabus, and hence, not to be taught.
