Congress, BJP plot perception war in poll-bound states

Congress would seek to win electors' sympathy by playing the victim card and taking a high moral ground, while BJP would try to win over backward classes by terming the Congress leader's comments that led to his disqualification as an insult to OBCs. BJP also would not mind these elections becoming a contest between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi.
