At an official briefing, spokespersons Jairam Ramesh and Supriya Shrinate detailed the instances of "trolling and propaganda" by the BJP. Shrinate then hit out at Parliamentary affairs minister Pralhad Joshi, saying "a BJP leader had said Rahul Gandhi would travel abroad for a Christmas break. But, when the minister wrapped up in a blanket was busy breaking the country, Gandhi was paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Chaudhary Charan Singh and Atal Bihari Vajpayee."
