Gujarat Assembly Polls: Old order intact even as AAP's poll promises find takers in 14 tribal seats

While the party did see some electoral success in the Surat civic election in 2020, it remains a novelty across 14 tribal seats of South Gujarat that a section of voters said they would want to try out. "We have seen the BJP and Congress for years. They (AAP) have come as a new option. It is like people getting used to travelling to Goa and trying out Dang forests," Chirag Vasava, a native, said over a cup of tea in Waghai in Dang district.
