Media freedom, bail term proportion & arrest power rulings came to aid of Mohammed Zubair

These three judgements dealt with the issues of multiplicity of proceedings, power to arrest and proportionality of conditions to be imposed by courts while granting bail. Two of these judgements - cited by the top court in its order - were co-authored by Justice DY Chandrachud, who led a three-judge bench that released Zubair on bail.
