Agniveer quota raises seniority, parity and age issues in CAPF

At present, 10 per cent CAPF vacancies are earmarked for ex-servicemen (ESM), but if suitable candidates among them are not available, vacancies reserved for them are filled by non-ESM candidates. Besides direct recruitment, vacancies are also filled through promotion and deputation, said an official.
