Centre looks to realign, rationalise all GoI awards

A concept note on awards shared with all ministries points out that there are multiple awards across ministries and sometimes "questions are raised on the selection process" due to lack of public awareness on the procedure followed. The whole award life cycle, in many cases, is felt to be "disconnected from the common people of India", the note points out.
