UP Polls 2022: Purvanchal battle to test strength of caste-based parties

BJP has partnered with the Apna Dal (S) and Nishad Party. SP has allied with several smaller parties like RLD, Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP), Mahan Dal, Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) and Janwadi Party (Socialist). The leading parties have given a maximum number of seats to their alliance partners in the Purvanchal region.
