Ex-Uttarakhand PCC chief joins BJP, may get Tehri ticket; party's Tehri MLA now Congress nominee

Earlier, Kishore Upadhyay was expelled for six years by the Congress for "anti-party activities". Kishore is likely to get a BJP ticket for Tehri seat in Garhwal region. While the BJP welcomed Kishore in its fold, the party's sitting MLA from Tehri, Dhan Singh Negi, switched over to the Congress and was later named as the party's candidate from Tehri.
